When you think of Bolinao in Pangasinan, the first thing that comes to mind is the Patar White Beach, a pristine coast with creamy white sand that is compared to the likes of Boracay and El Nido. But Bolinao has a lot more to offer for those who dare to explore.

Head to the forest side of the place and you’ll find the gem that is Bolinao Falls, a mesmerizing waterfall tucked inside a quiet community. It deserves a spot on your bucket list!

It’s divided into three waterfalls, all located along the beautiful Bolinao river. Each fall has different views and features, and you can choose to explore just one. But of course, we recommend that you try all three!

Perhaps the most popular, Bolinao Falls 1 also has the highest cliff among the three waterfalls—the best bet for adrenaline junkies. With a jump-off point that is 2-storey high, you can choose to dive with or without a life vest and plunge into the clear, turquoise waters.

To reach the falls, you’ll need to hike for 5-10 minutes—it’s quick and easy, and totally worth it!

The second falls feature a more laid-back setting—the place to be when you want downtime with your friends. There are cottages that you can rent around the area, and the path is not too high compared to Falls # 1. While this waterfall is not as high as the first one, you can still dive into the pool which is almost 18 feet deep. It’s perfect for kids too, since there are areas with shallow waters.

      Bolinao Falls 3

This fall is like a Windows wallpaper that has come to life with its breathtaking scenery. The place is a combination of the first two waterfalls—there’s a large water area that is good for swimming and rafting, and another area for cliff jumping. There are relatively fewer people here, so it’s the go-to falls for some quiet time with family or friends.

A minimal entrance fee of Php 50 is required for each fall.
