      Merto Manila Public Transport ready for GCQ | Trains, Jeeps, UV Express

      President Rodrigo Duterte announced on August 17, 2020, that Metro Manila and neighboring areas will revert back to General Community Quarantine (GCQ). From August 19 to 31, areas that will be under GCQ include: NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Nueva Ecija, Batangas, Quezon Province, Iloilo City, Cebu City, Lapu Lapu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, Municipality of Minglanilla in Cebu, and Municipality of Consolacion in Cebu. The rest of the Philippines is placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

      Starting August 19, public transport will also resume. The LRT-1, LRT-2, MRT-3, and PNR lines will start normal operations again. The LTFRB has approved additional routes for traditional Public Utitlity Jeepney (PUJs) and UV Express Services. To check previously approved routes by the LTFRB, click here to see a list.

      Please be advised that all passengers must wear a mask and face shield. Otherwise, commuters will not be allowed to ride. Other COVID-19 precautionary and sanitary measures will still apply.
