The Cebu South Bus Terminal will soon install and implement a centralized automated ticketing system. Governor Gwendolyn Garcia has approved this move to modernize one of Cebu City’s busiest transport terminals.
A contract has been entered with Topline Hi-tech and Synergy Corp for the execution of the new ticketing system. Machines will be installed soon at Cebu South Bus Terminal. Since passenger traffic has slowed, now is the perfect time for this transition.
This change is timely in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic wherein the new ticketing system can help reduce the risk of infection. An automated system will help in distributing tickets and handling passengers safely. In addition, the new system can aid in easing congestion of the terminal during peak hours.
